Have you read the book A WRINKLE IN TIME by Madeleine L’Engle? Or maybe watched the movie or seen a play adaptation? The story is quite popular with young readers, as it tells of three kids flying through space in search of a missing parent.
A WRINKLE IN TIME will be performing at the Sierra Madre Playhouse starting March 10 and seeing it is something you should plan for. However, in this article I want to alert you to several special family events that will be held in the City of Sierra Madre in celebration of the play’s run at the Playhouse.

A sci-fi / fantasy themed tea celebrates the characters and themes from Madeline L'Engle's classic children's book A WRINKLE IN TIME. If you like time travel with your tea - you will love this special event. The Sierra Madre Playhouse is decorating T-Neer to make us think of tesseracts and strange planets, fantastical flying beasts and giant brains. Each table will have a draw-it-yourself character placemat that can be taken home as a memento. We will dine on some favorites from the Murry family from the book and taste some "out of this world" treats with our tea. Each guest will receive a souvenir "brain" eraser. After tea - go see the 2:30 matinee of the play.
