Food - Want a good Bloody Mary? Try Slaters 50/50

The Slaters 50/50 franchise in Old Town Pasadena has a new owner, Ted Cutting, and to celebrate he held a shindig at the restaurant on Oct. 4, 2017.

The Bloody Mary Buffet Brunch, which is normally open to the public on Sunday mornings from 9 am to noon, was set up with an impressive array of options that ranged from celery sticks to bacon and beef jerky. Who would have thought that so many things could be added to a drink? Yours truly had to experiment with cauliflower, hot peppers, and fancy pickles.

Slaters 50/50 is already known for its large variety of beers, many offered on tap. Now, with the freshly arrived management, new items have been added to the food menu.

Also new is a social element:  there are ping pong, shuffleboard, and foosball tables, as well as dining tables set with games like Space Invaders and Galaga, with shirts offered as prizes for winners. Of course, there are also screens everywhere showing every possible sport you may want to watch.

You may want to stop by and enjoy the new vibe. Slaters 50/50 is located at 61 N. Raymond Ave, in Pasadena 91103. More information here.
