Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro recently released his limited edition tequila – Patron X Guillermo del Toro, and presented as a work of art. The Mexican culture and Dia de los Muertos inspired box opens up into an altar that holds two bottles – a 750 ml main bottle of tequila in the shape of a human torso, and a 100 ml glass skull that holds an orange liqueur. The box also includes two votive candles.
When mixed, the tequila and the liqueur become a delicious sip. So good that it was used to toast the release at a party held on International Tequila Day at the Carondelet House in DTLA.
