On Wednesday, Aug. 29, True Food Kitchen will be participating in the second Yappy Hour event, presented by the Old Pasadena Management District. From 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, on Big Bang Theory Way, you can party with your furry best friend, meet up with like-minded neighbors, and meet local dog “celebrities.” DJ Glenn Red will be entertaining with his music selections, and there will be tables with information, coupons, samples, and giveaways from various stores from the area.
If you arrive early, you’ll get a Yappy Hour bandanna for your puppy, which will earn you extended Happy Hour pricing (until 9:30 pm) at True Food Kitchen and other pet-friendly restaurants in the area (such as Edwin Mills by Equator, Lucky Baldwins, Prawn Coastal Casual, Sage Vegan Bistro, Sushi Roku, and We Olive & Wine Bar). The “paw-rty” will also continue until late at Dog Haus Biergarten.
This would be a great opportunity to try the True Food Kitchen’s summer menu. I visited a few days ago and can honestly tell you that their poke bowl is amazing. My companion thought the same of the grilled salmon dinner. The Pomegranate Chia Limeade is perfect for these hot summer days. (The pictures alone make you hungry, don’t they!?)
There is no admission price to participate in Yappy Hour, which is for leashed dogs and their owners only (sorry kitties). The starting point for Yappy Hour is 93 E. Green Street, in Old Town Pasadena 91103. Then, skip over to True Food Kitchen Pasadena, located at 168 West Colorado Blvd., Pasadena 91105.
