The Crack Shack’s Old Pasadena branch is opening its doors this Monday, Nov. 12th. Brought to you by founder Michael Rosen and Top Chef Richard Blais, the all-day dining venue offers guests a modern and accessible menu of high quality, locally raised, antibiotic-free Jidori chicken, eggs from Eben-Haezer Ranch and Gone Straw Farms, as well as produce from local boutique farms.
Those looking to indulge must look no further than the expansive sandwich section of the Pasadena location’s exclusive menu, which includes a Chicken Thigh Pastrami Sandwich that features Dr. Brown’s Creamed Onions, kraut, Emmentaler Cheese and Pickle-naise on marble rye bread. Other sandwich options include the Firebird, made with a spicy fried chicken thigh topped with cool ranch, crispy onions and pickles between a potato roll, and the Señor Croque containing a crispy fried chicken breast, a runny fried egg, white cheddar and miso-maple butter on a brioche bun.

Those looking for lighter fare can choose the Anti-Salad Power Bowl, made with smoked chicken, soft boiled egg, quinoa, Chato’s salsa, avocado and arugula; the Border Slaw with papaya, mango, jicama, coconut, chili and pineapple; or the Downward Dog featuring local vegetables, sunflower seeds, quinoa, hummus and a lemon yogurt vinaigrette.
To satisfy a sweet tooth, The Crack Shack offers signature milkshakes of Afters Ice Cream and irresistibly fresh, house-made cookies.

To wash it down, guests can head to the 24-seat full bar to enjoy craft beverages with SoCal specific spirits and ingredients. Signature cocktails include the Scramble, a blackberry mule made with vodka, crème de mure, lemon and ginger, and the Hot Mess, a take on a smoky margarita made with mezcal, Ancho Reyes, honey, lime and grapefruit. The bar also features a curated wine and beer list with 12 beers on tap, including local selections.

The Pasadena opening will mark the growing brand’s fifth location, with two Shacks in San Diego, one in Costa Mesa and, most recently, one at Westfield Century City, with expansion outside of SoCal planned to Las Vegas in 2019.
The Crack Shack is located at 30 W. Green St and will be open 7 days a week, Sunday – Thursday from 10:30am to 10:00pm and Friday- Saturday from 10:30am – 12:00am.
