The moving story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life and love – FIDDLER ON THE ROOF – is currently on a three-week engagement at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre (until May 5, 2019).

A classic musical from Tony Award® -winner Joseph Stein, and Pulitzer Prize-winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher; choreographed by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter (inspired by the original choreography of Jerome Robbins); and has musical direction by Ted Sperling.

This show is rich with Broadway hits, including “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition.”

The cast is led by Israeli film and TV star, Yehezkel Lazarov, as Tevye. It’s a big cast with over 40 talented performers, including Spanish actress and singer Maite Uzal as Golde, and Colombian-American Paul Morland as The Fiddler.


The original Broadway production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, which opened in 1964 and featured choreography by Jerome Robbins, was the first musical in history to surpass 3,000 performances. The show won the 1965 Tony Award for Best Musical in addition to eight other Tony Awards® that year.

This acclaimed revival now at Pantages introduces this favorite musical to a new generation of theatergoers. It has both touching and humorous moments, as well as energetic and entertaining dance scenes. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a lovely show that may remind you of your own family and that will certainly send you home singing. Sound and lighting are always perfect at the Pantages, so this is a musical that you will certainly enjoy.

The performance schedule is Tuesday through Friday at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm and 6:30 pm.  The musical is recommended for ages 8 and older. Children under 5 are not admitted into the theater.
