The hilarious GRUMPY OLD MEN: THE MUSICAL is now playing at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, featuring TV legend & Tony winner Hal Linden, the gymnast-turned-singer Cathy Rigby, and Broadway’s Ken Page.

This is the story of two aging neighbors, Max (played by Gregory North) and John (Mark Jacoby), who have been feuding for more than 50 years in their hometown of Wabasha, Minnesota, until a charming woman, Ariel (Leslie Stevens), moves in across the street – raising their rivalry to new heights.

This is a funny show with humor that is mostly meant for adults, so you may want to get a babysitter for your young ones. Everyone in the cast is talented, although much of the attention goes to the main performers, starting with 88-year old Linden (who happens to deliver most of the saucy lines). Rigby, whom you may remember from her years as a gymnast, is also a favorite of the crowd, as is Page, whose voice you may know as Oogie Boogie’s in Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Add to that the spectacular voices of Jacoby, North, and Stevens (all of whom are returning artists at La Mirada), and you have every reason to expect an excellent show.
