If you’re looking for something tasty to wrap up 2019, consider the Tournament of Roses’ Sip & Savor event happening today Sunday, Dec. 29, and tomorrow Monday, Dec. 30, on the grounds of the Rose Bowl Stadium.
Held in Lot I of the iconic stadium, the second annual Sip & Savor offers tastings from 20 food vendors, 7 wineries, 4 breweries, 10 retail partners, and 3 spirit houses. Additionally, the event includes live entertainment and an area for children, making it an appropriate outing for the entire family.
As it is usually the case, the best way to enjoy the event is by purchasing a VIP ticket ($125), which allows unlimited tastings, early entrance (noon), and admission to the Tournament of Roses Float Decorating area. General admission ($50) includes 5 tastings, which can be upgraded with additional tasting packages (Top Ups) – 5 extra tastings for $20 or 11 for $40.
If you are a “foodie,” this is a great opportunity to taste the offerings of restaurants like Roy’s Restaurant (do not miss this one!), The Crack Shack, Twohey’s, El Sushi Loco, and much more. They are in fine company with beers from Angel City Brewery, Golden Road Brewery, and wineries like Robert Hall, Sangiacomo, and Harken.

Parking is free (although you’ll be better off using a rideshare company). The event is held from 1 pm to 7 pm (noon for VIP holders). Music includes The Mariachi Divas, all female pop band Crimson Apple, ska punk band Suburban Legends, and several DJs.
