This is a short and easy trail, a loop just over a mile long, in San Dimas. It is part of a park, so you can turn it into a longer event by bringing lunch and using the picnic tables (there are also barbecuing pits).

.

The trailhead is at the right end of the parking lot. While the hike is not too strenuous, there are some steps that you need to consider if you have little ones. The trail gains some elevation that gives you pretty views of the town below, but the best part of it is all the cacti. There are so many of them!

.

We walked it in 50 minutes. When you come down the hill there’s a Californian Sunflower patch that’s quite pretty.
