A Noise Within (ANW) has now released its second film of a stage production: Alice in Wonderland.

This is your chance to join Alice’s adventures in a magical land fueled by imagination. The play is based on Lewis Carroll’s famous story, written for the stage by  Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus and originally directed and conceived by Stephanie Shroyer.

From the comfort and safety of home, you can enjoy the same artistry and production elements of ANW’s live performances—including lighting, sound, and costumes. With her award winning filmmaking experience, Andressa Cordeiro joined Alice in Wonderland as the Director of Photography to ensure a visually compelling take on the modern adaptation of this classic story.

Alice is played by Erika Soto, who is always a pleasure to watch. She’s supported by seven of ANW’s most talented actors, including Rafael Goldstein, Kasey Mahaffy, Jeremy Rabb, and Susan Angelo.

This play had a short live run in the spring of 2020, right before the pandemic sent us all home. “Only a handful of our patrons had the chance to see the delightful and moving production of Alice in Wonderland,” said Producing Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott. “A world turned upside down and inside out, but in this case filled with brilliant language, unforgettable characters, and a lasting wisdom, seems especially timely.”

Tickets to stream Alice in Wonderland start at $25, available at anoisewithin.org. The play will be available through June 20 on Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays at 7 pm, Saturdays at 6 pm and 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm, all PST. There will be a virtual conversation with the artists on June 8 at 5 pm PST. Alice in Wonderland is 1 hour, 25 minutes long, with no intermission, and it’s recommended for ages 6 and up.
